Melissa was born in Morristown, New Jersey and raised in Warrenton, Virginia. Melissa attended University of Richmond for undergrad and obtained a B.S. in Biology before attending VCU and graduating with a B.S. and an M.S. in Nursing. Her nursing background is in inpatient Pediatrics at VCU Health. Melissa is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her interests include health promotion and disease prevention. Outside of work, she loves to travel, play tennis, cook Italian food, hike, and play with her terrier mix.
