Meredith M Berger, MD

Meredith Berger, MD was born and raised in West Virginia.  She attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and received her B.A. degree in 1990.  Dr. Berger completed her medical school training in 1994 at Marshall University School of Medicine.  She began her Internal Medicine Internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and then completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Georgetown University in 1997.  After completing her fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University in 1999, Dr. Berger entered private practice with a local endocrinology group. In 2004, Dr. Berger became a founding partner of Virginia Diabetes & Endocrinology, P.C.

Dr. Berger is a Clinical Preceptor for the Foundations of Clinical Medicine program at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine.  She is an active member of the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association, American Diabetes Association, and the Richmond Academy of Medicine.

Dr. Berger’s areas of special interest include Thyroid Disease, Pituitary Disease, and Osteoporosis.  She specializes in thyroid ultrasonography and fine needle aspiration biopsies and her practice includes bone densitometry interpretation and the management of Osteoporosis.  When outside of work, Dr. Berger enjoys running, boating, and golfing.
